Appointments are available through home visits, online consultations, and at our calm, private Poringland breastfeeding clinic. Short-notice appointments and evening consultations may also be available on request.

We can support you with breastfeeding, expressing, combination feeding and formula feeding.

We offer evidence-based, non-judgemental infant feeding support to help you feel calmer, more confident and in control of feeding your baby in the way that works for you.

My baby won't latch, can you help?

We support many parents to initiate Breastfeeding when they have had a difficult start. A non-latching baby does not have to mean the end to your Breastfeeding. We can support you to protect your milk supply whilst we work with you to discover the root cause of latching difficulties.

Can you help if breastfeeding hurts?

Yes. Painful breastfeeding should not be dismissed as normal. We can assss latch, positioning, milk transfer, nipple damage, baby’s oral function and feeding behaviour, and support you with a plan to enjoy comfortable, pain-free breastfeeding..

Can you assess for tongue-tie?

Yes. Our specialist practitioners can access oral anatomy and feeding fuction, identify possible tongue-tie and refer to NHS or private tongue-tie services where appropriate.

How do I book a consultation?

Our support services are bookable online. Our booking system allows you to give us your details & a full history in advance, ensuring your consultation time with your Practitioner is as valuable as possible. You can book to see a particular Practitioner, or choose to see the soonest available.

Do you offer urgent support?

An IBCLC Lactation Consultant is the highest international qualification and gold standard in Breastfeeding Support and it takes many years of training and experience to qualify to this level. IBCLCs have regular training and supervision to continuously update their knowledge and skills and this is also a requirement of registration as an IBCLC. When you employ an IBCLC Lactation Consultant you can be assured that you are receiving the highest standard of Breastfeeding Support.
