Breastfeeding Support Options for You & Baby
"Sian picked up what was wrong in two minutes!"
''I had been told on several occasions by other healthcare professionals that everything was fine with my baby and our breastfeeding, even though it was very painful and stressful, but Sian picked up on what was wrong in two minutes! She also helped when I wasn’t getting the right medication from my GP by sending me information and even writing to my GP on my behalf.' Teresa & Margot
Breastfeeding support is provided by Sian Aldis, IBCLC Lactation Consultant.
Providing both emotional and practical support, I am passionate about supporting all families throughout their breastfeeding experience.
One to one breastfeeding support is available at short notice through Home Visits, Clinic Appointments and Online Consultation.
Support is available for a wide range of breastfeeding concerns and ages of infant, including (but not limited to):
- Painful breastfeeding
- Nipple trauma
- Difficulty latching
- Milk supply
- Identification of tongue-tie (restricted lingual frenulum)
- Referral to paediatrician for assessment/division
An appointment will include taking a full breastfeeding history and observing a breastfeed. Following this, practical support will be offered and discussion regarding any concerns.
Following consultation you will receive written recommendations, which will also be sent via email with links to further information as necessary. If required, contact can be made with your Health Care Professionals.
My aim is to leave you and your baby calm and in control and with the necessary skills to breastfeed in the way that you wish. I have trained as a Mindful Breastfeeding Practitioner and use mindfulness tools in both my antenatal and postnatal work.
Family Support is also available together with Breastfeeding Support, to provide you time to rest, recover & relax as you enjoy your life as a new family

Online Video Call Consultations are available worldwide
Video consultations are mostly appropriate for discussion based support and information.
The recommendation remains to seek face to face breastfeeding support, especially for more clinical concerns and latch issues, but sometimes this is not possible. Video consultations allow accessibility to support for all mothers.
A one to one private consultation in your home will include taking a full breastfeeding history and observing a breastfeed. Following this, practical support will be offered and discussion regarding any concerns.
A initial postnatal consultation is approximately 90 minutes long, depending on the level of support you require.
One to One Postnatal Home Consultation
Client follow Up Home Consultation
Following private consultation, ongoing support via text or email is included for up to 2 weeks.
You are welcome to attend the free fortnightly Breastfeeding Support Café for continued support.
Travel is charged at 50p per mile.
‘Sian has been very understanding and caring in such a difficult time. Our baby is now breastfeeding well and we hope to see this continue and improve. My breastfeeding journey would have come to an end if not for Sian.’ Chantella & Daisy
